The most common questions

You may visualize yourself relaxing during a massage or facial, or maybe you focus on the fact that you’ll be away from your computer screen and can close-out the rest of the world.

You can easily book an appointment by calling our clinic or using our online booking system (via our website or email). We offer initial consultations to discuss your goals and medical history. During the consultation, our practitioner will recommend a personalized treatment plan. (Consultations are often complimentary or low-cost, and you can sometimes have treatment on the same day if deemed suitable.)

Yes. A consultation is important so we can assess your needs, answer questions, and ensure the chosen treatment is safe and appropriate for you. Our practitioner will explain the procedure, potential results, and any preparation needed. There is no obligation to proceed if you decide not to – the consultation is a chance for you to get comfortable and informed.

We accept major payment methods such as cash and credit/debit cards. Payment is typically due on the day of treatment (since cosmetic treatments are elective and not covered by the NHS). If applicable, we can discuss any payment plans or financing options for larger treatment packages during your consultation. Receipts are provided for all treatments.

All treatments at our clinic are performed by qualified medical professionals (for example, a dentist with training in facial aesthetics or a registered nurse). In the UK, only regulated doctors, dentists, pharmacists, or registered nurses should administer injectable cosmetic treatments. Our practitioners have extensive training and experience, so you are in safe hands. We abide by strict medical guidelines and maintain high standards of safety and hygiene.

Yes, we prioritize your safety. All our aesthetic treatments are medical-grade procedures using products that have been widely tested and used. For example, hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are FDA/CE-approved and have been used for decades with an excellent safety record. Anti-wrinkle injections (Botox® and similar) have been used for cosmetic purposes for over 40 years and are well-studied. Our clinic uses sterile, single-use needles and follows strict infection control protocols. While any procedure carries some risk, complications are very rare in professional settings. We will fully inform you of any risks during your consultation and ensure you are a good candidate before proceeding.

Because these treatments are minimally invasive, downtime is usually mild. You may experience temporary redness, slight swelling, or bruising at the treatment site – this is normal and should resolve quickly. For instance, injection treatments (fillers or anti-wrinkle) can occasionally cause a small bruise or tenderness that fades within a few days. Microneedling can leave your skin red and sensitive for 1–2 days, similar to a mild sunburn, but there’s essentially no prolonged downtime. Most patients resume normal activities immediately or by the next day. We provide detailed aftercare instructions to minimize side effects and will schedule a follow-up if needed. Serious side effects or complications are extremely rare, especially when the treatments are performed by qualified professionals.

Our aesthetic treatments are safe for the majority of healthy adults. However, we do not treat anyone under 18 years old. We also do not recommend cosmetic injectable treatments for pregnant or breastfeeding women, due to lack of research on effects during this time. If you have certain medical conditions (for example, active skin infections, uncontrolled diabetes, blood clotting disorders, or severe allergies), or if you are on medications that affect bleeding, please inform us during your consultation. We will evaluate your medical history to ensure it’s safe to proceed. Your wellbeing is our first priority – if a treatment isn’t suitable, we will suggest safer alternatives or postpone until you’re medically cleared.

Preparation is usually simple, but here are a few general tips before your appointment:

  • Avoid blood-thinners: For about 2–3 days before injections (fillers or Botox), avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, or high-dose vitamin E. These can thin your blood and increase bruising. (Always check with your GP before stopping any prescribed medications.)
  • Stay healthy: Come to your appointment well-rested and hydrated. If you develop a cold sore, rash, or any infection near the treatment area, call us – we may reschedule to ensure proper healing.
  • Skip certain skincare: If you’re having a skin treatment like microneedling or chemical peel, avoid using retinol, AHAs/BHAs, or other harsh exfoliants for 2–3 days prior (unless instructed otherwise). This reduces irritation.
  • Arrive with clean skin: We’ll cleanse your skin at the clinic, but it’s helpful if you come in with minimal makeup or lotion on the area to be treated. For comfort, wear loose clothing if you’re getting a body treatment.
  • Ask questions: Lastly, feel free to ask us anything you’re unsure about! Our team will give you specific prep instructions tailored to your procedure during the consultation.

By following these simple steps, you’ll help ensure your treatment goes smoothly with the best possible results.

Aftercare is important for healing and results. We will provide detailed instructions specific to your treatment, but general aftercare includes:

  • Avoid touching or rubbing the area for at least 6–12 hours after injections. This helps prevent infection and keeps products (like filler or Botox) in place.
  • Skip makeup for 24 hours if you had microneedling, mesotherapy, PRP, or if any needle entry points are open. This reduces infection risk. For injections (filler/Botox), mineral makeup can usually be applied the next day or even sooner if no broken skin.
  • Stay upright and avoid strenuous activity for the rest of the day if you had facial injections. We’ll advise you not to do heavy exercise, bend excessively, or lie flat for a few hours after Botox – this helps the product settle properly.
  • No extreme heat or cold on the treated area for 1–2 days. That means avoid saunas, steam rooms, or very hot showers, as well as ice packs (unless we direct you to use cool compress for swelling). Heat can increase swelling and cold can affect circulation in the area. For fillers, also avoid intense sun or UV exposure for about 2 weeks.
  • Use gentle skincare: Keep the area clean and moisturized. If you had microneedling or PRP, use a gentle cleanser and avoid active ingredient creams (like retinol or acids) for a few days. Apply sunscreen if you’ll be outdoors, as treated skin can be more sun-sensitive.
  • Watch for unusual symptoms: It’s normal to have mild swelling, redness, or small bruises. These typically subside within a week. If you notice anything concerning – for example, increasing pain, discoloration, or signs of infection (like pus or fever) – contact us immediately. (Such effects are extremely uncommon, but we want you to be safe.)

We’ll give you a printed aftercare sheet before you leave the clinic, and we’re just a phone call away if you have any questions during your recovery. Following aftercare guidelines will help you get the best results with minimal downtime.
